Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper addresses a new CR-V2X technology needed to transmit real-time information about both traffic and infotainment.
The technology approached is the cognitive radio (CR), effective to alleviate spectrum deficiency. This technology allows unauthorized users to use underutilized spectrum resources, provided that they do not cause interference to the authorized user.

The paper is documented, accompanied by the mathematical modeling of the proposed system and substantiated by appropriate simulations.

The results obtained by applying the technology proposed for the urban environment and highways are presented in graphic form.

  1. From my point of view, even though some publications are listed in the literature review, it has no justification not conducting a comparison with main works. The lack of such a comparison compromises the significance of the paper, so I strongly recommend authors to conduct as much and suitable comparisons as needed to solve this issue. The authors should summarize the main contribution of each referenced paper of each method in a separate sentence. There are only 14 references papers , more up-to-date related work should be mentioned there.
  2. There are some citation error [0] in lines 91, 119, 161, 164, 167, 248. It also has some error in the Reference section. Please also check the order number of the references.
  3. Please mention the source of all equations if they are from a specific reference. Otherwise, please explain how they are derived.
  4. The results analysis are just a brief review of the figures presented in the manuscript. The authors should be more specific and explain the real findings of the paper by further analyzing the results and by commenting on them.
  5. The Conclusion needs to be rewritten to clarify the research results, improvements made when applying the proposed method.
