Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Overall, it is well written manuscript.

It would be great to see evidence of mictrostructural strain hardening via stress, xrd and ebsd which will confirm effect of surface treatment on fatigue life. Can the authors include any of these results in the draft?

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

1.       This paper analyses the efficiency of combined surface treatment methods for improving the fatigue life of structural parts with holes. The paper provides useful information that has good practical significance, and the results are satisfactory.

2.       The writing of the paper needs improvement. There are many grammatical errors in the paper. For example, in the Abstract, "finite element model has been created" should add "a" such as "a finite element model has been created". The sentence "It is shown that after surface treatment of the corresponding areas of the holes residual stresses, which exceed yield stress for the plate material, are induced and that reduce amplitude of the principal stresses.", the meaning is not clear. Change "by fatigue tests and test results" to "by fatigue test results"

3.       Fig. 1, add the unit in the title.

4.       Page 5, what's the meaning of "1...2%"?

5.       Fig. 12, add unit of stress in the figure.

6.       In Section 5, change "there are discussed the following" to "the following are discussed."

7.       Figure 23, explain the meaning of K. Do 1 means 1 hole and 3 means 3 holes?

8.       More specific information should be provided in the Conclusions.

9.       It is suggested for the authors to carefully proofread the paper before the next submission.

Comments on the Quality of English Language

Need improvement.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

I have no comments on the fatigue and strength of the structure for this task. However, in my opinion, there is no geometric analysis of the impact of the geometry of these holes, I mean the diameter, chamfering and rounding of the edges, the distance and arrangement of the holes, number, etc.
