Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Congratulations - clear argument on significant topic - identification of student foci was quite compelling and overall sequence of argument of a high standard.

The document analysis method could be supported by some additional detail as to process steps.

Could more emphasis go to identifying teacher roles as educators - not theologians - and teachers of RE often struggling themselves to reflect and comment on religious issues and ethical practices arising from such

A little more narrative on the place of Theology as a discipline to be applied within the practice of Religious Education would ideally support teachers' approaches and probability of implementation of recommendations.

Recommendations within conclusion - could be separated and placed earlier.

While commentary went to recognising inter faith differences - some comment could be offered as to cultural and national influences directing policy and delivery in Religious Education.

Dar Reviewer

I have made an effort to implement the revisions. I have made a slight modification to one the revision that you requested. Specifically, I have condensed the information on youth in the Bible and the Qr'an. However, I have retained certain details to provide a basis for comparison. I appreciate your understanding. on this matter. Your valuable feedback has gratly contributed my manuscript and I sincerely thank you for it.

Best regards.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The author(s) fulsomely reworked the article to address the review. The framing, methodology, and theory are all now more clearly established. The article is well written and will add new ideas to the conversations around religious education and the more general conversations about young people and their religion/spiritual development in an increasingly digital world.

One small point: On line 180 the author(s) being the paragraph with "first" and the reader expects to see a series of points: first, second, third, etc. There are no such list of points in the paragraph, so perhaps consider introducing that paragraph differently.
