There are some issues in the manuscript need to be revised.

 1.   There are some writing errors in the manuscript, please make corrections, such as the initial letter of section Patents is garbled

2.    The part of Introduction does not highlight the importance of visual positioning systems, and it is recommended to add some analysis content.

3.    At the end of the Introduction, a paragraph introducing the content of the article should be added to facilitate readers' understanding of the overall structure of the paper.

4.    The part of Conclusion does not specify the problems in the current machine vision in recognition and localization of fruit and vegetable harvesting robots, and the first sentence needs to be reconstructed.

5.    The part of Future Prospects needs to be rewritten and the trends of future research need to be condensed. For example, the first sentence of the second and third conclusions is not the future research trends, but rather a factual explanation

This paper provides an overview of the application of machine vision in the recognition and localization of fruit and vegetable harvesting robots. This is a very important task, but it is important to note the differences and key points between this article and similar articles.

1.On the first page, in the abstract section, the expression is unclear and too brief.

2.On the second page, the characters in Figure 1 (f) are not clear. Please note that the addition of images should be carried out while ensuring that the images are clear.

3.On page 5, most of the characters in Figure 2 are unclear and do not necessarily need to be in the form of a single image.

4.On page 23, please check if title 6 is correct.

   In addition, the visual application in fruit picking is only a part, and the collaboration between the mechanical structure and the robotic arm is very important.

The article provides an overview of the application of machine vision for the recognition of fruits and vegetables when they are harvested using robots. This topic is now very relevant, as manual labor is gradually being replaced by robotic. Various ways of image recognition and fruit search are described. The article is well structured and well read.

There are a few things to note:

1. In the introduction, clearly state the purpose and novelty of your review. You can also add links to previous reviews on this topic.

2. Some inscriptions on the figures should be made larger.

3. The option of using a monocular camera in conjunction with a lidar to measure the distance for an object has not been considered. In my opinion, this is a promising technology.

4. You can also compare the recognition accuracy and speed when using different algorithms.

5. The abstract can be extended by listing the considered methods and algorithms and indicating the main results.
