Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper is of interest. But some changes are needed before publication

-References: Please use the correct format to cite a reference in text. i.e.: [1,3] or [1-5]. Do not use [1,2,3,4,5]

-Equation 3. It seems that is an image put in the document. Please use the equations tool instead of images to avoid this undesirable effect.

-Equations 10-15 and Table 1. Again, different size of text and equations with different aspects. Please correct this issue

-Table 3 says "percentage of variation". No percentage is given. Please include it

-Use same number of decimals when comparing in Table 3. 1, 2 or 3, but the same for all the numbers.

-Can the authors explain the difference of S2 at the frequency of 1200 kHz?. By the way. Put kHz (S.I.) instead of KHz.

-Figure 11. Please use the same legend for all the sub-figures. Also same text font and size

Author Response

Response to Reviewer 1 Comments

First of all, we want to thank you to the reviewers for all the pertinent comments about our work.

Point 1: References: Please use the correct format to cite a reference in text. i.e.: [1,3] or [1-5]. Do not use [1,2,3,4,5]

Response 1: The reference format has been modified in the work.

Point 2: Equation 3. It seems that is an image put in the document. Please use the equations tool instead of images to avoid this undesirable effect.

Response 2: Equation 3 has been added using the equation editor tool.

Point 3: Equations 10-15 and Table 1. Again, different size of text and equations with different aspects. Please correct this issue.

Response 3: The style and size of the text and the equations have been corrected.

Point 4: Table 3 says "percentage of variation". No percentage is given. Please include it

Response 4: The percentage of variation has been included for the results of table 3.

Point 5: Use same number of decimals when comparing in Table 3. 1, 2 or 3, but the same for all the numbers.

Response 5: The values in table 3 have been corrected using two decimal numbers.

Point 6: Can the authors explain the difference of S2 at the frequency of 1200 kHz?. By the way. Put kHz (S.I.) instead of KHz.

Response 6: The difference is due to the fact that at 1200 kHz the S2 mode has large dispersion due to high phase velocity variation. This leads to small differences in frequency resulting in larger differences between the displayed values.

Point 7: Figure 11. Please use the same legend for all the sub-figures. Also same text font and size.

Response 7: Figure 11 was edited using the same font and size.

Reviewer 2 Report

This article provides a more efficient and faster way to calculate the Lamb wave dispersion curves. The author can further explain the practicability of this method。

Response to Reviewer 2 Comments

First of all, we want to thank you to the reviewers for all the pertinent comments about our work.

Point 1: This article provides a more efficient and faster way to calculate the Lamb wave dispersion curves. The author can further explain the practicability of this method。

Response 1: In this work, the results are used to estimate the number of nodes required to ensure the efficiency and convergence of the method studied. Based on the good convergence of the method, additional variables such as the use of viscoelastic coatings, or the implementation in composite materials could be included without affecting the performance achieved in the present work. The presented method is a viable option to implement in configurations of higher complexity due to the reduction in the number of nodes.
