Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Manuscript entitled "Integrated System for Official Vehicles with Online Reservation and Moving Path Monitoring" of interest to "Applied Sciences" journal. Presented study opens up prospects in this field of knowledge. Although it is worth admitting that the general purpose of the study is not formulated.

The authors state that they aim to propose a system that enables online reservation, moving path monitoring, and the exact location of official vehicles to provide a real-time and convenient management system. I am bound to say that methodological inaccuracies are not detected.

Reviewed manuscript is clear, relevant for the field and presented in a well-structured manner. The manuscript is scientifically sound and the manuscript’s results are reproducible based on the details given in the "System Architecture" section. The figures and tables are appropriate, they properly show the data. So, they easy to interpret and understand.

Besides, the separate suggestions are given by me as a reviewer.

  1. The monitoring system of official vehicles prevents private and unauthorized uses, saves fuel costs, and improves the efficiency of their uses in general. What is the dynamics of improvements in percentages or other units?
  2. Algorithm of the system reduces the required data to process. The backend management system allows various modes of management of the vehicles and their uses and statistical analysis of the vehicle uses. Is the seasonality factor taken into account?
  3. The result verifies that the proposed system is effective and efficient in monitoring and managing official vehicles by providing administrators with historical movement trajectory, mileage by various departments, maintenance mileage, reservation system and s on to achieve the effect of official vehicle management. What are the directions for further research?

I hope that these suggestions can help to improve the manuscript.

Reviewer 2 Report

The authors developed an integrated system for official vehicles with online reservation and moving path monitoring. Also, an interesting real-world case study has been presented. The paper is well written and has value for publication in terms of practical applications. However, the current manuscript looks like a technical report rather than a research paper. In particular, the literature review is very limited. In other countries, a similar system could be developed already. I recommend improving the literature review and clearly highlighting the novelty or contribution of the proposed work compared to other studies before publication.
