Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors find out the usability of adaptive features in smartphones. The effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction level of different adaptive features are evaluated.

I provide the following remarks which authors have to take into account in the next improved version.

1) The edition of equations 1 and 2 should be done more professionally.

2) There are some related previous works by the authors that are not cited in this article.

3) Explain in detail, the new contributions in this article, with respect to the previous related works of the authors.

4) The authors must present the comparison of their results with the results of other authors, with other proposed methodologies.

Reviewer 2 Report

- what are the existing good study cases of Smartphone Adaptive Features?

- lines 60-72: try to simplify the description as these are known knowledge by the people.

- line 74: suggest adding references on UX and UI from this journal, such as Liu, W.; Lee, K.-P.; Gray, C.M.; Toombs, A.L.; Chen, K.-H.; Leifer, L. Transdisciplinary Teaching and Learning in UX Design: A Program Review and AR Case Studies. Appl. Sci. 2021, 11, 10648.

- line 113: suggest adding references on UCD, such as Norman, D. A., & Draper, S. W. (1986). User centered system design: New perspectives on human-computer interaction.

- what are the differences between UCD and HCD?

- line 201: suggest adding references on Generation Y and Z interaction design.

- When citing references 26, 27, 30, and 31, avoid putting them at the end of the paragraphs. Instead, please include a more in-depth discussion.

- Formulas 1 and 2 are not well formatted.

- what do the results indicate for other contexts beside mobile usability?
