Thank you for submitting your paper “Realizing, Twinning, and Analyzing the IFC-based 4D Construction Management Information Model of Prefabricated Buildings” to the Journal of Applied Sciences.

In my opinion, it is a valuable paper; the subject is relevant to society. Overall, the paper is well written but needs some improvements before publication.

The novelty of this paper should be well described and emphasized in the abstract and conclusion. Please work on this and show us why this work is valuable.

The title should be more incisive.

The Abstract should contain answers to the following questions:

• What problem was studied and why is it important?
• What methods were used?
• What are the important results?
• What conclusions can be drawn from the results?
• What is the novelty of the work and where does it go beyond previous efforts in the literature?

Several studies focus on this issue, pointing out the behavior of the components such as: High performance precast external walls for cold climate by a multi-criteria methodology, Energy, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.energy.2016.09.018.

Review of thermal and environmental performance of prefabricated buildings: Implications to emission reductions in China, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.rser.2020.110472.

Please do not cite too many grouped articles, otherwise, the contribution of each article is not clear. Most importantly, the authors should emphasize the real contribution of this work compared to recently published work.

Between two different paragraph titles add a brief description.

All figures should be explained much more.

In general, I strongly suggest clearly explaining the significant findings and the real novelty of the work.

The authors propose a framework consisting of three parts to realize the interoperability and automated analysis of prefabricated buildings’ construction management information

The paper is well presented and adequately describes the objective, the methodology and results.

In the case study section, the figures should be improved as it is not possible to read the text contained in them.

In general, the proposal sounds very interesting and can have great potential. This referee suggests the submission of the paper once minor changes have been made.
