Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear authors,

Thank you for giving me a chance to review your article. Please find my comments below:

The introduction section should include explanations of theoretical and practical problems. Theoretically, they are about the relationship between (supervisor support, college support, job demand, job control, and role ambiguity) and mental health, Covid-19 which appears in its development based on previous studies. Practically, they are about the variables that develops in industrial sector.

The period and location of data collection should be well explained along with the sampling method. Before all collected data is analyzed, testing of Common Method Bias (CMB), validity, and reliability should be conducted.

The discussion section should explain how the results of the study fit with the results of previous studies.

What theoretical and practical contributions can be concluded in the study?

Good luck!

·         The paper is interesting as it attempts to correlate Occupational Stress, Mental Health and COVID-19 related stress.

·         More specifically, this paper is scientifically sound, and the research design is valid.

·          In many sentences, the authors use the term “Covid” instead of the correct term “COVID”. It should be changed.

·         A more specific analysis about how the authors set the research hypotheses is needed.

·         The method should be clarified in several points. More specifically, the authors report that they have contacted the participants of the survey with the assistance of the Company’s Safety Office. They should rather clarify in a few words whether the interference of that Office could influence the evidence collected by the participants or not.

·         Also in order to increase the reliability of the paper they have to describe more analytically how they contacted the workers involved in the research project.

·         This point must be reported clearly, in order to enhance the reliability of the research project.

·         In the discussion, it would be useful to present more analytically a comparative approach with the results of the relevant sources that the authors have been shown in the references.

·         The units 4.1. and 4.2. on future prospects and practical implications of the paper are very interesting.

·         The ethics statement is adequate.

·         The references are relevant.

·         Novelty: The manuscript is novel, and advances adequately the knowledge

·         The paper fits the scope of the journal.

·         The significance of the paper is high enough.

·         The quality of the paper is good enough, as it has been written appropriately.

·         Scientific soundness is also adequate.

·         That manuscript will be interesting for the readers, especially the conclusions.

·         The overall merit is positive, the publication will bring about benefits in knowledge.

·         The manuscript may be accepted with minor revisions.

Round 2

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear authors,

I can see the efforts into improving the article's quality. I highly recommend the proofreading step for this article. Also, put this sentences into the introduction section or literature review one: "Actions by leaders as supervisors are important to raise positive attitudes and behaviors of employees in the organization" (Cahyadi et al., 2022; Cahyadi et al., 2022). Find and download these article at links: https://www.mdpi.com/2071-1050/14/7/3967 and https://www.mdpi.com/2076-3387/13/1/5

Then continue with the following explanation: In fact, supervisors support may be related to psychological distress.

Good luck!
