1 | We had also measured Trait Hope but do not include it in the manuscript, as initial analyses revealed it was highly correlated with all the constructs, including IMI (r = 0.71, p < 0.001), learning goal orientation (r = 0.68, p < 0.001), neuroticism (r = −0.61, p < 0.001), and grit (r = 0.55, p < 0.001), suggesting it may not actually be measuring trait hope and may be capturing a number of different related theoretical ideas. |
