Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This is a comprehensive and well-written review of the topic. The style of writing sometimes deviates from the usual academic style in paragraphs describing historical context (see lines 150-151 for example), but it does not reduce the overall value of the review. The recommendation is to accept the manuscript in present form

Author Response

Thank you.

Reviewer 2 Report

The author extensively revised OPV and discussed the potential for this virus to persist in Europe and the Americas. My recommendation is only to insert the references in the tables

Author Response

I agree this is an excellent suggestion.  I will edit the tables to include the appropriate refences.  Thank you.
