Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Excellent paper. Minor formatting things (Figure 2 (triangle) cut off, some lines here and there are dark gray instead of all being uniform black. Overall only feedback is to make it less verbose as sometimes the length makes it difficult to follow, however this is not something that should preclude from publication as this is a very well written paper overall, covering a timely subject given the increases in suicide especially in adolescent populations.

Our response: We thank the reviewer for the positive feedback and useful suggestions to revise some of the text for clarity and succinctness. We have now amended some of the manuscript’s language and sentence lengths as recommended (including the specific sentence revision suggested by reviewer 2) and agree that the manuscript reads better as a result of these changes.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The article addresses the use of arts-based and visual research methods to explore the lived experiences of young adults with suicidal ideation. This innovative approach provides unique insights into experiences of suicidality that are often inaccessible through traditional research methods. By incorporating visual art, poetry, and other creative forms, the study offers a new lens to understand complex emotions and thoughts.
