The journal retracts the article “A Comparative Study of the Rheological Properties of a Fly Ash-Based Geopolymer Reinforced with PP Fiber for 3D Printing: An Experimental and Numerical Approach” [1], cited above.
Following publication, the authors contacted the Editorial Office regarding significant inconsistencies between the experimental results and the numerical simulation data. These discrepancies specifically concern the Herschel–Bulkley–Papanastasiou model’s application for characterizing the fiber-reinforced geopolymer’s flow behavior.
Adhering to our standard procedure, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and Editorial Board, which confirmed that the inaccurate parameterization of the numerical model invalidates the study’s predictions regarding the geopolymer’s flow behavior, thus significantly undermining the reliability of the conclusions presented in the paper. Given the impact of these scientific flaws on the validity of the overall findings, the Editorial Board has accepted the request of the authors and have decided to retract this article [1] as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Buildings.
Alisher Konysbekov agrees to this retraction. Bakytzhan Sariyev, Assel Jexembayeva, and Marat Konkanov do not agree to this retraction.
