- Diagnosis of chronic liver disease (any severity) or acute liver failure;
- Age between 1 and 18 years;
- Male and female sex;
- Caucasian ethnicity;
- Written informed consent from a legally authorized representative (parents/legal guardian), in accordance with national regulations.
- Known congenital coagulation disorders;
- Ongoing anticoagulant therapy;
- Acute or chronic infection within 30 days prior to enrollment.
