:1. Introduction

- Pinpoint tenderness during the palpation of the pubic tubercle at the conjoint tendon insertion.

- Tenderness over the deep inguinal ring.

- Pain and dilation of the external ring during the inspection maneuver in absence of a palpable hernia.
