Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This paper focuses on the dry screening performance of flip-flow vibrating screens for fine low-grade bituminous coal. The effect of screen panel tension and material characteristics was studied. This work has a certain degree of innovation. I recommend this paper for publication after minor revision.

(1) In the abstract and conclusion, it is necessary to clarify the specific size of the fine particles, such as a fine particle content of 55% the fine particle content in the feed increases from 25% to 55%

(2) The last paragraph of the introduction is not suitable for the same content as the abstract. From "The results received that..." to the end of this paragraph, it is recommended to delete it.

(3) Where the coal sample is taken, at least indicate which city or county it is from.

(4) Can the authors provide a conclusion that under the optimal experimental conditions (detailed mesh tension, fine particle content, external water), the screening efficiency reaches a highest value.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This paper was well examined the characteristics of vibrating screen to separate the fine coal particles. Please check the following points to improve the manuscript.

In Figure 1, please write the scale in the graph (a) and (b). Also please indicate the feed position and product exit place.

Please show the slack length of the flip-flow screen panel and their corresponding tension value places.

In Table1, how about writing the total mass fraction in this table to understand more easily?

For the first time appearance of s, please write the second.

Line 184 0-80s 0-80s (second),  Line 230  second →s

In Figure 2 (a), 3 (a) and 4 (a), time interval in X axis is different scales. How about writing the cumulative yield of undersized product in Y axis versus time interval of X axis, if possible?

Also please indicate the error bars of all Figures.

Please write the definition of coarse and fine particle size in the coal separation.

Please write each reason of the optimum value for the screen panel tension, the moisture content and the ratio of particle size, more minutely.

Comments on the Quality of English Language

It is necessary to check the English by native speaker. Some sentences are not clear.
