The research report "Hydrochemical characteristics and water quality evaluation for irrigation and drinking purposes of Bangong Co Lake Watershed in northwest Tibetan Plateau" is interesting. However, the article needs to improve a bit. Therefore, I recommend publishing the article after significant revision. I have suggested the following remarks herein, believing they can help authors improve the updated version.

 

1.      Re-write lines 16-17, 19-24, 51-53, 61-64, 79-83, 96-99, 115-118, 147-150, 210-212, 234-237, 297-300, 319-322, 342-346, 384-388, 510-515, 558-558.

2.      Many abbreviations need to mention in full.

3.      For Figure 2, please indicate all the Figures as a, b, c, d and mention them in detail in the figure caption.

4.      Figure 9, please separate the figure caption for a and b.

5.      In line 455 and Figure 10 legend, make a good range like 20-39, 40-79, 80-120.

6.      Table 1 seems unclear, please rebuild with typing mistakes.

 

7.      There are many subscripts, and superscripts should be corrected in the text.

 

The manuscript need a proper revised by a native English speaker or professional.

Sentence not backed-up by references, please insert recent literature on water scarcity issues in karst areas with lakes as in your research:
