The paper is well written and presented though the results do not seem to present any novelty.

Two options to potentially improve the paper would be:

a. Make it clear in what sense "super-high" arch dams are different to "other" arch dams, as it is part of the title but it is not clearly tracked later if there is or not any identified difference

b. Explain better the calculation method, the way the equations are solved and the characteristics of the finite element model, as well as the sensibility of the parameters/size of elements/etc.

c: The compatibility with measured displacements.

In summary it is important to identify property the "novelty" of the analysis and how it contributes to imporve the knowledge in the matter.

Round 2

Reviewer 1 Report

Even if some of suggestions have not been incorporated into the text, I believe that the manuscript is ready for the publication in WATER.

Reviewer 2 Report

It has been sufficiently improved
