Round 1

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsThank you for the opportunity to rate this interesting article. The authors used an interesting approach based on several theories and investigated the competitiveness of destinations within cities.
The abstract is informative enough, although perhaps a bit too long. There are noticeable spaces between the punctuation marks and the ends of the text, which need to be edited.
In the introduction, quite a few examples of facts are stated without proper citation of sources. This can also be seen in the literature review. When citing sources, the space between the word and the parentheses with the source number is mostly missing. Otherwise, the sources used are relevant and up-to-date. A few examples that require additional attention (otherwise there are quite a lot of them, so I suggest careful review and editing by the authors):
lines 110-111: Around 2013-2014, some Chinese scholars (sources?) almost simultaneously started
lines 116-117: It is worth noting that abundant Internet data (sources) could cover a wide range of information such as
line 126: In the past, many scholars (sources?) often approached the evaluation of
lines 128-129: The assessment of the competitiveness of tourist destinations is often (sources?) based on quantitative results
lines 288-289: Moreover, scholars (sources?) have relatively little research on estimating or measuring; etc.
The methodology used is appropriate and properly applied, also explained in sufficient detail, including the data collection for analysis.
The presentation and discussion of the results are comprehensible and appropriate. A certain level of innovation is present and makes for interesting reading.
Limitations and shortcomings are also presented, including the possibility of their elimination, as well as opportunities for further research, which is certainly welcome.
The findings are presented concisely, using the method of factor synthesis. Irregular spacing of punctuation marks appears again.

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsThe manuscript submitted for review concerns the issue of comprehensive competitiveness of tourist destinations within cities. The author proposes his own method of assessing this phenomenon. In this respect, the manuscript is a novelty. I must admit that the literature review is a very extensive and exhaustive topic. It is clear that the author put a lot of effort into analyzing the available literature and presented it well. The description of the methods is also accurate and detailed. This constitutes a significant extension of knowledge on the subject of tourist development of cities and can be used by other scientists. The conclusions are correct and justified. My comments concern the graphic part of the manuscript. The presented diagrams are interesting, but not very attractive in terms of graphics. They definitely lack colors and other additions that would make the message more attractive and make the diagrams more legible for the recipient. The map of the research area needs improvement - as a person who does not know the area, I would like to see first where in the country the research area is located, and only then learn the details of the location. You can also think about making the results text more attractive with photos and graphics.
