This study focuses on Nigerian contractors' perception of environmental sustainability with positive practical implications, however, there are some obvious drawbacks.
(1)The design of the study is too simple, it is only a descriptive questionnaire survey, and there is no clear inference of the relationship between research variables and variables. It is suggested that the author focus on a specific problem and redesign the research.
(2)The study results were based on simple ranking and descriptive analysis of the questions listed in the 92 questionnaires, which lacked sufficient data testing and the reliability of the conclusions was insufficient. Moreover, the authors did not report the basis for the design of the questionnaire, the basis for the selection of the respondents, and the representativeness of the sample, so that the rationality of the sampling process and the reliability of the data could not be judged.
(3)The structure and writing style of the paper do not conform to the norms of academic papers, and it is more like an investigation report.
(4)Insufficient originality, no innovation point in sight, and lack of clear academic contribution. It is recommended to study the relevant literature and start a dialogue with existing studies in order to improve the research design and show academic value.

This is interesting and timely work. Some comments:
- Abstract: construction industry is a wide concept, please be more specific.
- Abstract Line 24-27: are the factors ordered by the importance?
- Introduction: please summarize the blue text into table, it will be easier for the readers.
- Line 179: what are the ratios of architects, contractors, quantity surveyors, developers, and urban and regional planners in the survey? Are there enough sample size for each profession?
- How to consider the weight of profession, and parameters list in Table 1?
- Line 235: the table is repeated, please delete it.
- The statistical analysis is reliable.
- Conclusion: how about the employees’ healthy, such as fume emission. wellbeing and workplace design?

Many thanks for your constructive comments. Many thanks
Reviewer 2 Report
The research design of this manuscript is not academic and no improvements were made in the methods section of the revised manuscript. The authors did not make any substantive changes to the flaws in the questionnaire approach, Data Robustness Test, and data analysis methods, and these essential flaws led to a lack of reliability and credibility of the study results and findings. Moreover, the authors' revised responses were sloppy and did not provide any effective response to the reviewers' comments and suggestions.

The study design needs to be improved. Even for descriptive surveys, the norms of quantitative or qualitative research need to be followed to give more reliability and validity to the research results.

The study design needs to be improved. Even for descriptive surveys, the norms of quantitative or qualitative research need to be followed to give more reliability and validity to the research results |
The study design has been improved with mixed research method now being used using quantitative and qualitative research method. Further interview have been conducted on some research variables and presented the Tables The data used in the study has been subjected to Cronbach Alpha test, and more hypotheses introduced and tested. All the changes are highlighted in in red colour. |
