Reviewer 2 Report

1. Measures of financial inclusion are well established in the literature and their dimensions accepted, some of which are even wider than what the authors are suggesting. For example, Sakyi-Nyarko et al. (2022), Ahmad et al. (2020), Kim et al (2018). This means that the authors have not contributed to the literature, even incrementally.

2. The empirical bit of the paper requires improvement as the methodology appears to be inadequate, especially in the absence of robustness checks. Issues such as endogeneity and reverse causality should be addressed.

3. The presentation must also be improved, especially the manner in which the results are reported.

Reviewer 3 Report

I would suggest some changes to authors before accepting the manuscript.

1) the abstract is too long, I would suggest shorten it substantially and go on the point immediately.

2) Language revisions can help in improving the readability of the manuscript, especially long phrases.

3) Literature review can be broaden a bit.

4) Ideas for future studies and research can be summarized in an appropriate conclusion section. Actually they are not clearly organized and presented.

5) in general, the authors should better focus on the international readership of the journal moving from a regional/local perspective toward a truly global application.
