Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The topic of this article is related to the issues of sustainable development. The topic is very relevant. Moreover, the topic of the role of women in society should be discussed and defined.

The methodology is consistent with the goal.

However, the authors need to improve the article.

The authors need to expand the Abstract. The first sentence looks like a conclusion. No methodology was provided. The abstract shows the work. It is necessary to clearly formulate the goal, and methodology, and show what the authors came to.

The title itself is ambiguous. No Waste Management Uncovers African Indigenous Women Entrepreneurs. Perhaps the authors need to point out the role of women entrepreneurs in this case or the business model. Please do not use the title in the existing format.

Missing Figure 1.

The authors need to show that the topic of their work is international, but has the specifics of the implementation, which they write about. It is necessary to show that the topic is relevant for many countries, and had a solution in their country, but traditional methods of solving it are not sufficient. Therefore, the activity of the women's movement is more than conditioned. Showing an international character will expand the list of sources. At the same time, the authors need to show that they are familiar with other business models and systems of attitude toward the environment and show how their model and ways of solving environmental problems differ from existing ones. This remark also applies to a small list of literature sources used. So check out the following:

The Conclusion needs to be expanded. Now the Conclusion does not reflect the results of the work. This point needs to be expanded.

Dear authors,

the proposed research is at least inciting, having in mind the combination of circular economy principles with entrepreneurship initiatives. However, the revision of the manuscript will only be done after revision of the study, clearly describing the aim and scope.

As it is presented now it seems that the results part is completely missing. If the authors aim was only to describe the methodology, then this should be explained accordingly in the text and title as well. A literature review of the methodology is mandatory in this case.

Reviewer 3 Report

Dear Authors

the work overall is good and important in order to raise inequality problem within research of circular economy studies and indigeneous researchers in different parts of the world

few remarks before publish

1) clearly define the aim of the work (objective in 1 sentence)

2) add more references for other continents indigenous researchers, e.g., Australian aboriginal and South American. Can suggest proactive woman researcher Makijenko et al "Consumer behaviour..."

3) add more future outlook in discussion part
