… and free from the risk of proliferation of nuclear weapons.

 

Advantages of fast spectrum reactors are well described in the paper, though one of the biggest concerns, non-proliferation is not well discussed. Due to the excellent neutron economy in fast spectrum reactors, flexibility and quantity of Pu production could be more than the conventional light water reactors, there are more pathways of diversion of Pu or misuse of the facility. To derive “free from the risk of proliferation of nuclear weapons,” please add more description on it.
