Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This is a very interesting study on the role of digital media during the COVID-19 pandemic. However,  the discussion section needs to improve further based on previous studies. I believe that this study could add important discussions to the extant literature. The author(s) also did not discuss well theoretical contributions and practical implications of the study. I suggest providing a detailed contribution with examples. If there is no contribution, then there is useless.

Reviewer 3 Report

The article describes in an appropriate way the various parameters of the situation of a group of 14 students of 2 types of secondary schools in Innsbruck, Austria during the first lockdown (spring 2020), ending their studies with a comprehensive exam called Matura.

It was certainly challenging to obtain data for the article and to maintain constant contact with study participants during the reporting period. It is in this context that the question arises as to why the authors did not try to process the obtained results into a more formal and clear form, e.g., text tables. In the tables, the monitored parameters could be more specifically expressed and classified. At the same time, this could lead to a strengthening of the scientific accuracy of the whole study - relevantly relating the students' statements/study conclusions to the existing theories, i.e., theories of human behavior and learning, stress, adaptation, motivation, etc.

It would also be desirable to relate the content of the article to the topic of sustainability and/or sustainable education.

Some statements of the article are repeated and slightly obscure the dynamics of the article.
