Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear authors,

In the abstract, you must highlight the relationship between leadership-skills-IT as it appears in the title of the paper. It is not enough to state ,,The study results described a significant effect of sustainable leadership on sustainable competitive advantage. Sustainable leadership is a wellspring of the upper hand for associations. Sustainable leadership benefits associationtions, development, consistent improvement, supported upper hand, and long haul achievement. The study also found that the core competencies significantly influence the competitive advantage .... ”

In the introduction, you only need to say what you will do, why and how, and what are the main contributions and findings and explain how the rest of the work is organized.

Also, a deeper analysis of the literature on this topic would help the reader to understand what is the contribution of this paper to the general literature on this topic. Although the title of the topic is A Study On The Impact Of Sustainable Leadership And Core Competencies On Sustainable Competitive Advantage In The Information Technology (IT) Sector, the term IT sector is not found in Literature review. Make an analysis of the literature that corresponds to the title of the article and the purpose of the paper.

Research methodology (Purpose, objectives, sample, description of research methods, period in which the research was conducted), is not complete. Describe in detail how to conduct the survey, sample, period of research.

The data analysis is simplistic and the conclusions too general. The contribution of the paper to the development of knowledge in the field is not seen.

Keywords are partially defined. The authors make a mixture of ideas and generate two hypotheses based on the analysis of the literature, without showing the approach that was the basis for their identification. For data processing used simple frequency distribution, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and Structural Equation Modeling. but the results are poorly shown. The authors considered the sample data to be more relevant than the results obtained with AMOS Software, and the data on respondents were considered more important.

By the way, why 2.1. Conceptual Framework Of Sustainable Leadership is a section marked in red??

Dear Author

Thank you for submitting your paper "A Study On The Impact Of Sustainable Leadership And Core Competencies On Sustainable Competitive Advantage In The Information Technology (IT) Sector" in this journal "Sustainability". I  read the paper and showed my concern down here:

  1. Title seems to defect with the Capitalization issues. Please correct those. Particularly, the preposition must not be in a capitalization case.
  2. Introduction needs significant improvement. The study explored the impact on sustainable competitive advantage (SCA). But, I found that the author started a discussion on SCA very late.
  3. I suppose that the research problem must be crystal clear in the early stage of the introduction. However, I hardly found it.
  4. Line 108 needs clarification. It does not make any sense.
  5. Author might condense section 2.1. It needs simplification.
  6. Figure 1 is not clear. Its readability is too low. Thus, the author must redraw it.
  7. Line 188 "Who revealed it?"
  8. Line 195, "who suggest?"
  9. Similar issues are observed in lines 195 and 196.
  10. It is very surprising that I found the term "core competencies" in section 2.3 after the title and abstract. It is very unusual that one of the independent variables used in the model is found at the end of the 5th page.
  11. Author has a huge problem with citation issues. See lines 212-237.
  12. Which research design and sampling technique were used? Why?
  13. Author needs to explain in detail the survey measures.
  14. Author also needs to explain on Response bias issue.
  15. What are the contributions/strengths of the paper? Please describe this after the discussion part.
  16. Limitation section is also one of the poorest parts. It needs significant improvement.

Wish you all the best.

Reviewer.
