Does Emotional Intelligence have an impact on linguistic competences? A primary education study

Thank you for submitting your paper for review and for conducting the study.  Overall, this is an important topic where the objective was to identify which EI components are more related to linguistic competences in primary education.

There is good data in this study, however, the presentation and interpretation of the study need significant additional thought.   Here are some suggestions to improve the manuscript:

*In the Abstract section, please consider introduce some statistical data to corroborate the results.

The introduction provide sufficient background and include all relevant references

*2.Participants and procedures sections, please, consider to expand your description of sample accordingly the power analysis used to determine the number of potential individuals that you needed to include in your study.

When was the investigation carried out? The research design?. Please include a table of baseline characteristics for all individuals enrolled in the study.

Data analysis are adequately described.

*The results are clearly presented.

In addition, Could you add a figure with a Structural Equation Model? A Structural Equation Model Analysis can be very interesting.

Discussion
- Start the discussion by reporting your own findings from the present study and then, after that, you put it in perspective of other available research. And please, you should underline more practical implications in education.

Dear Authors,
I am impressed with the idea. The relationship between emotional intelligence and language skills seems to be seemingly insignificant. You have shown the connection in an interesting way. The study also does not raise any objections. The discussion is substantive. The only small clue concerns the concept of emotional intelligence. You can devote more attention to this issue.
