Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The article titled "The Effect of Rapid Development on Soil CO2 efflux in a Cellulosic Biofuel Stand" describes the link between LAI and other metrological factors in order to explain the variations in soil carbon stocks and the environment benefits of biofules. The introduction is highly informative and pertinent to the subject of the study, and the appropriate literature was explored to present the rationale in a very effective manner. The methodology section of the manuscript is sufficiently detailed for the reader to comprehend the experimental design, analytical methods utilized, and observations reported. The results were clearly interpreted by using well-illustrated figures and tables. A thorough and compelling description of the outcomes was provided to adequately explain the result trends. In addition, research gaps from the present study were identified for future research planning.

The text included minor typographical errors. For example, value is written as alue P4, L154. The abbreviation "Rs" required consistent writing. The data on the observation of NEE specified in the materials and methods section was not included in the publication; this information can be provided to corroborate the observed patterns.
