Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Chang and co-authors investigated the novel natural products by disruption of Azaphi-lone synthesis in Penicillum sclerotiorum E23Y-1A. It is well organized and written with high novelty and good presentation. The manuscript certainly lay in the scope of Marine Drugs and could be accepted for publication in current form.

However, the differences between natural products of wild and mutant type should be clearly marked in Figure 3. HPLC analysis of crude extracts from wild-type strain E23Y-1A and mutant strain Δ667 at 365 nm (a) and 254 nm (b).  This would be helpful for readers to understand the differences of products.
