Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This manuscript is a straightforward report on the occurrence of two non-indigenous species of Muricidae in NW Spain. I have no major criticisms. The methods used are appropriate and the figures are clear. However, to help the reader understand the significance of the study, I would strongly suggest the authors edit the maps shown in Figure 1 (or it may be clearer to have a separate map in the Discussion section?) to include the currently known occurrences of the two species in question in the vicinity of Spain and France. In addition, showing the locations of international ports and major oyster aquaculture sites would also assist the reader to interpret the results better.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This a straightforward report of the opportunistic discovery of two invasive muricid gastropods in Galicia, one having an established population and the other represented by two isolated captures. I have no major concerns about the manuscript. I have made some comments and suggestions on the attached PDF.
