About Metrics
Aims
The journal Metrics (ISSN 3042-5042) is dedicated to the publication of rigorous, high-quality research on the design of novel methodologies using quantitative data for a wide range of aspects of information science. The primary focus of the journal is comparative empirical studies that evaluate the differences between traditional and novel methodologies in the field of bibliometrics, scientometrics, informetrics, webometrics, patentometrics, altmetrics, and research evaluation. These comparative studies are especially welcome when solving informetric problems as applied to a wide variety of information across different fields. The journal actively promotes studies that facilitate the implementation of emerging technologies as enablers for novel methods in measuring quantitative aspects of information science. The journal is fully open access and has rigorous peer review procedures in place. Full details must be provided when publishing studies involving experiments so that the results can be reproduced. There is no restriction on the maximum length of the papers submitted to/published in the journal.
