MDPI Signs Flat-Fee Publishing Agreement with Universidad Católica San Vicente Mártir de Valencia (UCV)
MDPI, the world’s leading scholarly open access publisher, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Universidad Católica San Vicente Mártir de Valencia (UCV) in Spain. Effective since 1 August 2024, this agreement introduces a flat fee that covers all publishing costs for UCV authors across MDPI journals for one year.
As part of this collaboration, UCV-affiliated corresponding authors will be able to publish their research in any MDPI journal at no cost to them. The editorial process will remain unchanged, consistent with that of all other submissions to MDPI journals. Authors can submit manuscripts as usual using their institutional email, and upon acceptance, the publishing costs will be handled through the Flat Fee workflow.
MDPI is proud to collaborate with UCV in furthering the university’s commitment to open access publishing. The new arrangement eliminates financial barriers for authors and supports meeting the requirements of open access mandates, including Plan S.
Milica Milutinovic, MDPI’s Institutional Partnerships Manager for Southern Europe, commented: "This new flat fee arrangement enables us to offer UCV’s researchers high-quality publishing services while providing predictable and reliable budget planning for the institution. We look forward to working closely with UCV to enhance the global visibility and impact of their research.
