Feature papers represent the most advanced research with significant potential for high impact in the field. A Feature Paper should be a substantial original Article that involves several techniques or approaches, provides an outlook for future research directions and describes possible research applications.
Feature papers are submitted upon individual invitation or recommendation by the scientific editors and must receive positive feedback from the reviewers.
Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world. Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.

We are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Manuel Torrilhon, Prof. Dr. Changjiang Zhu and Dr. Ali Pinar to the Editorial Board of Algorithms (ISSN: 1999-4893).
Prof. Dr. Manuel Torrilhon is a full professor in the Mathematics Department at RWTH Aachen University in Germany, and currently serves as the Director of the Center for Computational Engineering Science at RWTH. His research focus is on numerical methods for mathematical modeling with partial differential equations, especially hyperbolic conservation laws, kinetic theory, the Boltzmann equation, and plasma physics.
Prof. Dr. Changjiang Zhu currently works as a full professor at the School of Mathematics, South China University of Technology, P. R. China. His areas of interest include fluid dynamics, hyperbolic conservation laws, the stability of nonlinear waves, and the Boltzmann equation.
Dr. Ali Pinar works on various applications that involve graphs. Recently, he has been working on modeling large-scale graphs, such as those of social networks and cyber networks. He is a distinguished member of the ACM and is also on the Editorial Boards of Algorithms (MDPI), SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, SIAM News, and the Journal on Complex Networks.
His papers have won Best Paper prizes, Best Student Paper awards, and Best Research Paper awards, respectively, at ICDM 2015, WWW 2015, KDD 2013, and SIAM Int. Conf. Data Mining. He was a member of the technical program committee for 2015 Supercomputing (SC'15), Austin, TX, November 2015; WWW 16, Montreal, Canada; and the ACM SIGKDD Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining, San Francisco, California, August 2016.
