Nursing Reports Receives an Updated Impact Factor of 3.1 and an Increased CiteScore of 2.9

Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.

We are pleased to share that the Nursing Reports (ISSN 2039-4403) has been awarded an increased Impact Factor of 3.1 in the 2025 Journal Citation Reports™ released by Clarivate™ in June 2026. Nursing Reports ranks in Q1 (28th among 194 titles) in the “Nursing” category (ESCI). The 2025 CiteScore, released by Scopus, has also increased to 2.9, placing the journal in Q2 (51st out of 144 titles) in the General Nursing category.

The 2025 Journal Impact Factor is calculated by dividing the number of citations received in 2025 to all publications in the journal from 2023 and 2024 by the total number of citable publications from those same years. The current CiteScores measure the average number of citations within a journal over a four-year window (2022–2025). The Scopus database provides a comprehensive suite of metrics that support informed publishing strategies, research evaluation and enable benchmarking of journal performance.
