MDPI Subject Workshop | Understanding the Earth We Inhabit: Geosciences for a Changing Planet, 13 October 2026


MDPI is pleased to invite researchers, professionals, and stakeholders to participate in the MDPI Subject Workshop—Understanding the Earth We Inhabit: Geosciences for a Changing Planet, an in-person event dedicated to exploring current challenges and future opportunities in geoscience research.

This workshop will provide a dynamic platform for interdisciplinary exchange, bringing together experts from academia, industry, and policymaking to discuss innovative methods, emerging technologies, and practical applications that contribute to a better understanding of Earth systems and support sustainable solutions for a changing planet.

  • Prof. Dr. Alberto G. Fairén, Centro de Astrobiología (CSIC–INTA), Spain.

Prof. Dr. Alberto G. Fairén is a distinguished researcher at the Centro de Astrobiología (CSIC–INTA). His research focuses on planetary science, astrobiology, geosciences, and the evolution of planetary environments. Through his interdisciplinary work, he has contributed significantly to our understanding of Earth and planetary systems and has participated in numerous international scientific collaborations and space exploration initiatives.
