Empowering Academic Growth with MDPI Academic Publishing Workshop at Khon Kaen University, 11 May 2026
We are delighted to announce the MDPI Academic Publishing Workshop, organized in collaboration with Khon Kaen University. This partnership reflects a shared dedication to advancing interdisciplinary research aimed at addressing global sustainability challenges through innovative methods, cross-sector cooperation, and transformative approaches.
As part of our ongoing commitment to researcher development, the workshop is designed to support and strengthen the research capacity of the academic community at Khon Kaen University. Participants will have the opportunity to explore emerging trends in sustainability, gain insights into open access publishing practices, and engage directly with journal editors and publishing experts. Tailored especially for early-career researchers and innovators, the workshop will equip attendees with practical skills to enhance the visibility and impact of their scholarly work while fostering meaningful international collaborations.

Associate Professor Dr. Orathai Piyayura is Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Khon Kaen University, Thailand. She holds a PhD in gender studies and Thai literature from the University of London, UK. With over 31 years of experience in higher education, her teaching and research focus on Thai literature, gender diversity, and feminist and queer studies. Her work has been published in both national and international academic journals. |

Associate Professor Dr. Kanyarat Kwiecien serves as Chair of the Master of Information Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Information Science programs at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. She holds a PhD in educational technology and communications from Chulalongkorn University. Her academic expertise includes information service design, digital libraries, and information behavior. She has published extensively in information science and actively contributes to graduate education and research development in the field |

Ms. Ploy Assavajamroon obtained her master’s degree in chemistry from Thammasat University, Thailand, in 2020 and joined MDPI as an Assistant Editor for the journal Crystals in the same year. She became a Section Managing Editor in 2021 and a Group Leader in 2022. She is currently one of MDPI’s Regional Journal Relations Specialists for the Asia–Pacific region. |

Dr. Krit Inthajak obtained his PhD in engineering and technology from Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University. He joined MDPI in March 2020 as an Assistant Editor for Molecules. He was appointed as a Section Managing Editor in 2021 and worked as a Group Leader from 2021 to 2024. He is now one of MDPI’s Regional Journal Relations Specialists for the Asia–Pacific region. |

Ms. Natthinan Phuphueak holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Kasetsart University. She has been with MDPI since 2021, where she began as a Production Editor and has since developed solid production expertise across multiple quality-focused roles, including Final Checker, Cross Checker, Quality Checker, and PDF Editor. Since 2023, she has served as a Production Group Leader, and is responsible for managing the team, overseeing production workflows, supporting staff development, and launching both production and management training programs. |
