Publications Webinar | Robust Tools for Fragile Truths: A Versatile Methodology to Monitor Disinformation

This webinar presents a flexible and scalable methodology to monitor disinformation, originally designed for electoral contexts but highly applicable to scientific communication. Developed by the Observatorio Complutense de Desinformación, the framework combines social media monitoring, AI-driven narrative analysis, and content analysis with a dedicated codebook to detect and analyze disinformation across platforms.

This research is the product of the collaboration of more than 20 universities around the world. It is the result of reviewing the existing disinformation models. Emphasizing collaboration between academia, media, and institutions, this webinar offers a practical and versatile tool that can be adapted to different national contexts and that can be used to identify false or misleading scientific claims to support evidence-based public communication.
