ISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information Receives an Increased CiteScore of 7.2

We are pleased to share that ISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information (ISPRS IJGI, ISSN: 2220-9964), the official journal of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), has received an increased CiteScore of 7.2 in June 2025. The CiteScore ranks the journal 18 out of 179 titles (Q1) in the “Earth and Planetary Sciences (miscellaneous)” category, 95 out of 841 titles (Q1) in the “Geography, Planning and Development” category and 16 out of 76 titles (Q1) in the “Earth and Planetary Sciences (miscellaneous)” category, an impressive achievement for a journal running in Volume 14.

The current CiteScores measure the average number of citations within a journal over a four-year window (2021–2024). The Scopus database provides a comprehensive suite of metrics that support informed publishing strategies, research evaluation and enable benchmarking of journal performance.
