Biomimetics | Scope Update

To further enhance the quality of Biomimetics (ISSN: 2313-7673) and the papers published in it, under the guidance of our Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Stanislav N. Gorb, the journal has updated and revised its scope. The original scope and the updated version are listed below:

Scope (new version):

Scope (old version):

  • Biomimetic mechanisms and design
  • Biomimetic robotics
  • Biofabrication and characterization
  • Biomimetic and bioinspired chemistry
  • Bioinspired sensing
  • Nanotribology, nanomechanics, micro/nanoscale studies on biological systems
  • Biomimetics inspired by animal and plant biomechanics
  • Synthetic and biohybrid systems
  • Self-organization and cooperative behavior
  • Biomimetic aspects of tissue engineering
  • Bioinspired, biomedical and biomolecular materials

Biomimetics welcomes submissions from a global, multidisciplinary scientific community. Contributors should be mindful of the field’s interdisciplinary nature and clearly define any technical or field-specific terminology. Additionally, manuscripts should explicitly state their contribution to the advancement of biomimetics in the Introduction Section.
