Every member of IAOM is faced with the day-to-day responsibility of providing the best possible treatment to our patients. This challenges each and every one of us to accept the responsibility for the continued growth of the knowledge base in the practice of orofacial myology. We need to continue our leadership role in this very specialized field. I encourage all members to submit their ideas, clinical observations, and original research to IJOM for publication. If you have information that you feel is valuable to share with others, but are not a “writer”, we have skilled editorial staff members who are willing to help you through the process.
IJOM staff continues to grow. The IAOM Board of Directors recently approved a new position – Marketing Editor. It will be the responsibility of the Marketing Editor to promote IJOM distribution and help reduce the cost of publication.
IAOM members can assist with increasing distribution by contacting local colleges and universities and encouraging them to include IJOM in their resources. You may even want to share information about our Inventory Reduction Sale. Feel free to copy the Sale page in this issue and distribute it to libraries and colleagues. You may want to consider completing you own IJOM library. When They’re Gone – They’re Gone!! So act now!
