Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The authors proposed a literature review in the field of UAV path planning in hostile environments. The paper has an adequate number of references for a literature review and is well organized. However, these are my comments:

  • Since the review primarily focuses on path planning for military UAVs, I recommend incorporating this focus into the title of the paper.

  • The authors have thoroughly reviewed a wide range of papers and provided an extensive overview of the mathematical approaches used in the four preference handling methods. However, the section on future research directions lacks the same depth as the rest of the review. While the three proposed directions are insightful, I suggest including additional points to offer readers a broader perspective on potential research directions.

  • The research questions and inclusion criteria were thoughtfully selected and are appropriate for the literature review.
