Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

An acceptance of the manuscript with minor changes is suggested. These are:

   - It is suggested to give space between lines 82-83 and 160-161.

   - Improve conclusions.

   - It is recommended to update the references.

Author Response

Dear reviewer, thank you very much for your input and suggestions for improvement.
All of them have been taken into account as detailed below:
- The space between lines 82-83 and 160-161 has been enlarged.
- The conclusions have been expanded and improved.
- More than ten new references from 2020 and 2021 have been included.

Kind regards.

Reviewer 2 Report

It would be useful to add the study results of the proposed project implementation to the school practice or compare it with similar previous projects.

  • Authors should provide clearer research questions and a concise description of the research procedure.
  • The content of the manuscript should be enriched with the results of previous research related to the effectiveness of using the proposed or similar didactic projects in the educational process.
  • The target group of the proposed didactic program should be presented in more detail.

Author Response

Dear reviewer, thank you very much for your input and suggestions for improvement.
All of them have been taken into account as detailed below:
- Similar projects have been taken into account for comparison, as the submitted project could not be implemented yet. It should be noted that there are hardly any similar experiences.
- Research questions have been provided and the research procedure has been described somewhat more.
- Previous research has been taken into account, although, as mentioned above, there is very little of it.
- The target group has been defined in more detail.
In addition, bibliographical references have been updated and the conclusions have been expanded.

Kind regards.

Reviewer 3 Report

it's a great article. however, I recommend adding more current references to complete a relevant bibliography.

Author Response

Dear reviewer, thank you very much for your contributions and suggestions for improvement.
All of them have been taken into account, as detailed below:
- More than ten new references from 2020 and 2021 have been included.
In addition, the conclusions have been expanded and the methodology section has been improved.
Kind regards.

Reviewer 4 Report

Thank you for the opportunity to review this paper. The aim of the paper is to expose the didactic-creative possibilities of movie-induced tourism to work on “Cultural awareness and expressions” competence. However, when I read the paper I miss new and significant information adequate to justify publication.

With respect to the literature review, I think that the paper does not demonstrate an adequate understanding of the relevant literature in the field. Additionally, it must be taken into account which is the gap in the literature (due to actually this gap is not identified) and why it is important to fill this gap.

With respect to the methodology section, the paper's argument is not built on an appropriate base of theory and there are no methods employed. Moreover, there are not hypothesis nor research questions.

There is no results section, due to the fact that there is not empirical analysis in the study. Therefore, the conclusions are not adequate. I propose to do an empirical analysis that includes more than a proposal, this analysis could include a study of the effect of the didactic project over the development of the "Cultural awareness and expressions” competence.

On the other hand, there are some phrases that lack focus and clarity. For instance, on page 2 the authors write “On the other hand, the article analyses the film tourism phenomena and its relationship with education a powerful didactic tool, especially for working on the aforementioned competence.” and on page 5 “the assessment criteria to be worked on in this programming and which are taken from the official curriculum of Secondary Education”.

In relation to practicality and research implications, the paper does not identify clearly any implications for practice and further research.

I hope you will find the suggestions provided here useful.

Author Response

Dear reviewer, thank you very much for your contributions and suggestions for improvement.
All of them have been taken into account, as detailed below:
- Regarding the literature review, more relevant and updated information has been included. More than 15 new references, most of them from 2020 and 2021, although it is clear that there is still a lot of work to be done in this field.
- The methodology section has been improved by adding research questions.
- It has not been possible to include results, as the aim of the article was to design a didactic project using movie induced tourism to work on the competence "Cultural Awareness and expressions". This project has been designed but not implemented, so only the project design is shown. Other similar projects have been searched for comparison.
- The sentences that were not correctly understood, both on page 2 and page 5, have been modified.
- Implications for practice and future prospects have been included in the conclusions.

Kind regards.

Round 2

Reviewer 4 Report

I still think that the paper miss new and significant information adequate to justify publication. The lack of empirical analysis in the study makes that the paper had a big limitation that avoid its publication. As I comment in the previous report, an empirical analysis that includes more than a proposal is needed. This analysis could include a study of the effect of the didactic project over the development of the "Cultural awareness and expressions” students’ competence.

Author Response

Dear reviewer, thank you very much for your feedback, which we have warmly welcomed and which has helped to improve the article. We have taken all your comments into account.
With regard to the inclusion of empirical results, we will take this into account for future publications, as this article only shows the design of the programme, and it has not been carried out as described in the article.
Yours sincerely.
