The journal retracts the article “Implementation of Binarized Neural Networks in All-Programmable System-on-Chip Platforms” [1].
Following publication, concerns were raised by the authors regarding inaccuracies found in the findings presented in this study [1].
Adhering to the concerns raised, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Board that confirmed that the power consumption values reported cannot be considered to be accurate. As outlined by the authors, a technical error occurred whereby the external JTAG (Joint Test Action Group) was left connected during the measurement process. As the JTAG connection can influence the power consumption measurements of the device under test, the authors and the Editorial Board agreed that the findings of this study cannot be considered to be reliable. Thus, the authors and the Editorial Borad have decided to retract this article [1] as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30).
This retraction was approved by the Editor in Chief of the journal Electronics.
