Title:  Consensus-based Distributed Optimal Dispatch of Integrated 2 Energy Microgrid

Manuscript ID: electronics-2263990

Some thoughts are enlisted to enhance the readability and capture for a large community.

Feedback –

1.      Highlight the novelty of the paper

2.      Sectionalize the paper

3.      Use the acronym after first define for integrated energy microgrid (IEM)

4.      Break the long sentence for easy reading. For example

i.                    To obtain the optimal solution λ* and the optimal output power to solve the problems of economic dispatch and the balance of power supply-demand in the whole system in a hybrid AC-DC microgrid, the consensus-based multi-agent system combined with the power system equal incremental rate principle is applied to design a suitable incremental cost rate consensus algorithm, which incorporates the idea of distributed cooperative control without obtaining global information, and relies on the local inter-connection and distributed cooperative control among each intelligent agent.

ii.                  With the intensification of the global energy crisis and the current social demand for ecological civilization, the traditional centralized architecture of large power grids is beginning to change to the decentralized intelligent microgrid, and the form of energy in microgrid is also developing towards diversification.

iii.                The consensus-based distributed algorithm's convergence is demonstrated, the equal incremental cost rate principle for power systems is applied and the consensus variables for integrated energy microgrid are determined, and the distributed optimal dispatching of integrated energy microgrid is realized under the consideration of both power balance and economic operation of integrated energy microgrid.

iv.                The energy storage devices, the structure of microgrid system, and power generation devices are becoming flexible and the utilization rate of electrical energy can be improved and the use of acceptable control tactics may considerably enhance power quality while also increasing the grid's economic index. Each bus node of the microgrid topology has an associated agent, which may communicate with its neighbors over the communication network.

v.                  The system structure has a topology graph denoted by G, and the communication network structure graph of a multi-agent microgrid system is defined as G=(V,E,A), and the set of nodes is denoted as V={v1,v2,···,vi,···,vn}, where n is used to represent the node number, also the number of micro-generators in the microgrid; the set of edges between the nodes is denoted by E while the connectivity between adjacent nodes is expressed by A, which is an n×n adjacency matrix [8].

5.      Add more simulation graphs to strengthen your contribution in the paper.

6.      Page 7 Line 226 check the typos and error.

Page 9 Line 258 =

Figure 4 : Each of the three devices create s a project based on LabVIEW and create VIs.

A d d all variables to the Created databases and set them as shared variables

7.      Use the same font in Figure 4 in all the boxes.

8.      Define the term with acronym first. For example

IP; TCP; VI; SCADA

9.      Check the title of Figure 7 ( c )

10.  Which optimization is used in Consensus-based Distributed Optimal Dispatch of Integrated Energy Microgrid.

11.  Insert EDP ….Economic Dispatch Problem (EDP) in the power grid system

12.  Make a line connection.

These problems can be summed up as the Economic Dispatch Problem in the power grid system, and the EDP also exists in the integrated energy microgrid system

13.  Literature review can be improved by giving precise work done and its limitation.

14.  Modify the sentence.

i.     An integrated energy microgrid's numerous parts are divided into three broad categories:

ii.                  In this paper, we study the objective function of the economic optimization of the microgrid as

iii.                Finally, all micro sources agree on incremental cost rates after several control cycles, resulting then in an economically optimum state.

iv.                The lower triangular matrix M0 has spectral radius 0 r r ( ) ( ) M A = . And there is 2r( ) A =1 based on the fact that A is a doubly random matrix

v.                  No need to write. The proof is completed.

vi.                human-machine interaction (HMI) of LabVIEW, leveraging their respective strengths to achieve distributed optimal dispatch.

15.  Give one space to IEEE 14 – Caption Figure 2. IEEE14-Bus integrated energy microgrid system.

16.  Discard the references from 2010.

17.  Add the recent papers 2021, 2020,…..

Reviewer 2 Report

The manuscript is interesting and the study was carried out with adequate scientific methodologies. In my opinion the manuscript deserves to be published once the authors answer to the provided comments.

All the following indicated aspects should be clarified and better explained in the manuscript.

Introduction

1.        The authors should better highlight the innovative aspects of their work in the manuscript.

System model

2.        The description of the proposed methodology could be improved. First, it could be better to insert at the beginning of Section 2 an outline about the system model and the methodology flow  diagram; the use of UML or SysML could help authors describing the proposed system view in a more structured fashion.

3.        Does the proposed approach satisfy power flow constraints? In eqs (4)-(16) no power flow equation are present. Several recent scientific studies on related topics (https://doi.org/10.1109/TCNS.2022.3181527, https://doi.org/10.1109/TCNS.2019.2910455), show that energy management of microgrids must consider power quality and power flow constraints. The Authors should comment this point.

Problem formulation and resolution

4.        Optimization model: The authors should clearly characterize the overall problem (4)-(16) that they intend to solve. What type of decision variables (i.e. integer, real, etc) and how many? How many constraints (bounding, inequality, equality)?

5.        The authors should motivate the adopted consensus strategy to deal with energy dispatch and compare it with reference methods: for instance, game theory is a viable technique to deal with noncentralized frameworks (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.conengprac.2022.105364, https://doi.org/10.1109/TVT.2015.2487515, documents that could be cited in the text). The Authors should comment this point.

Case study

6.        The outcome of the proposed approach should be assessed and condensed into a suitable indicator(s) that synthetically summarizes the related overall correctness and accuracy.

Conclusions

7.        Conclusions needs to be extended to present further implications for future research and many managerial insights based on the results of the study, as well as limitations.

Minor

8.        The authors should check that all the used acronyms are explained.

9.        Mainly the English is good and there are only a few typos.  However the paper should be carefully rechecked.
