- (i)
- Grade Point Average (GPA)—The students’ final grades (ranging from 0 to 20) were obtained at the end of the 10th academic year from the school’s official records. The GPA used in the study was calculated as the average of the students’ grades across all subjects taken. In this study, students’ 10th grade GPA had a mean of 14.71 (SD = 0.16).
- (ii)
- Mathematics—The students’ final grades in mathematics (ranging from 0 to 20) for the 12th academic year was collected from the school’s official records. In this study, students’ average score in 12th-grade mathematics was 14.57 (SD = 0.19).
- (iii)
- Portuguese—The students’ final grades in maternal language (ranging from 0 to 20) for the 12th academic year was also collected from the school’s official records. In this study, the mean grade in 12th-grade Portuguese was 14.48 (SD = 0.18).
