Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Figs 2-3-4-5 and 6 are not needed and it is from others.

is the propeller working behind the ship under wake flow? calculations of the thrust and resistance should be matched together at design speed.

open water characteristics of the propeller and performance of the propeller under wake flow should be presented.  did you employ the systematic regression method?

the paper is given the propeller design for the ship with matching the engine, so it is recommended to show the point performance in the engine diagram.

Table 4 is given the optimized different propeller as well as engine characteristics. this is only final optimized results for three propeller types. is it possible to show the pollution results like nox, sox cox?

show and explain the method of propeller calculations.

Reviewer 2 Report

1- In page 6, fig. 3, it is not easy to understand this figure.

2- In page 10, table 4, the units of BSFG according to its values is kg/kW.h.

3- I think, it is not possible to make a comparative study between the three propeller series with all the variable ranges are different to get an optimum propeller from different types. You may get the optimum propeller form one type.
