Comments and Suggestions for Authors

-Title is too long. What is the main idea of the article? What do you want to present?

- What was the aim of the research and main proposals? (Abstract)

- You can't just give data. You have to generalize the data somehow. Show the maximum and minimum, the average. You have to describe this table in more detail. (Table 4)

-There are too many indicators. There are no generalizing indicators. What about these numbers? What can they be compared to? (Table 5)

- It is not clear what those configurations are. What they are related to and what they represent. You must describe them near the picture.(Fig. 5)

- There is also no summary of this table. What do these numbers compare to? (table 6);

- Explain what these concepts mean:  "economic-policy suppression and human capital-economic suppression." (L639-640) What changes are expected in them in the next 5 years? And how will this be reflected in the AGTFP indicators?

- Comments are in the article.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This manuscript deals with a relevant issue: productivity and sustainability of agricultural systems.

The paper systematically measured agricultural green total factor productivity (AGTFP) and characterized the dynamic of the agricultural green development influenced by factors such as natural endowment, agricultural technology, economic development, and environmental regulation. The study explored Chinese provincial panel data from 2001 to 2022, identifying “resources” and “energy” as core inputs within a dual-output framework focused on “economic” and “low-carbon” outcomes.

The research issue and objective are clearly presented.

The analytical framework and method are pertinent and coherent with the objectives.

The results are rich and soundly presented and discussed.

The conclusions are pertienent and supported by the results.

Some suggestions:

1 - In the Abstract and Conclusions, it seems pertinet to add some political implications that can be envisaged from the results (to explore the content from sectio 4.2 - Strategic Pathways for Enhancing AGTFP).

2 - In Table 2, the Unit of GDP Per Capta seems to be 10exp4 CNY Per Capta instead of 10exp4 CNY Per capital";
