Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear Authors,
First of all congratulate you for your interesting work, in general it achieves a good level of academic contribution. However, I will recommend your publication subject to a number of recommendations which I include below.

- In general, the article needs a revision of the format, which sometimes differs from one section to another, which can be confusing.
- Specifically, it is suggested that the bibliographical references be revised, since they have been included in a format that does not correspond to that indicated by the journal.

- In addition, in the methodological section, it would be interesting to expand the information on the sample, as well as on the coding process and the codes generated, which would increase the transparency of the research and allow the reader to situate himself more easily.

- In addition, it would be important to mark the discourse of the interviewees in a clearer way, as the chosen format does not allow the reader to realize that it is a quote from the interview.

- In sections 3.3.2 and 3.3.3.3, the format for including the interviewees' information is changed, which makes it difficult to understand them.

Without further ado, best wishes.
Best regards,
The reviewer.

Author Response

In general, the article needs a revision of the format, which sometimes differs from one section to another, which can be confusing.

We couldn’t understand which sections different so we checked the whole manuscript with a colleague and did small changes.

Specifically, it is suggested that the bibliographical references be revised, since they have been included in a format that does not correspond to that indicated by the journal.

We used the template in the journal’s website and the references are in line with the template.

In addition, in the methodological section, it would be interesting to expand the information on the sample, as well as on the coding process and the codes generated, which would increase the transparency of the research and allow the reader to situate himself more easily.

We added information about which analysis we used for creating the themes and codes. Also, we add a table about our sample to give more clear information. We added small information because of the page limit.

In addition, it would be important to mark the discourse of the interviewees in a clearer way, as the chosen format does not allow the reader to realize that it is a quote from the interview.

We present the quotations by using indentation and inverted commas.

In sections 3.3.2 and 3.3.3.3, the format for including the interviewees' information is changed, which makes it difficult to understand them.

We check the results and try to present every result in the same format. hich makes it difficult to understand them.

Reviewer 2 Report

my main point is about the presentation of comments made by their interviewees. It would be helpful to demonstrate that these are new material. My suggestion would be to put these in inverted commas. I found the paper thought provoking and interesting.

Reviewer 3 Report

Overall this paper adds to the literature on refugee resettlement and issues that may arise.

A few minor things to make the paper better and easier to read.

First, the literature would benefit from adding more on trauma informed education, including literature on secondary and tertiary trauma to better contextualize the experiences noted by the counselors in the data section. I found reading the results could easily benefit from this added literature.

Second, in the results section, there has to be a better way to identify when you present the quotes from your participants. I found it difficult to read since there was no indication I was reading a participant's words until the end and I had to go back and re-read in that context. Using indentation on both sides would greatly help the flow of the reading.

Otherwise, well done and I look forward to more research on this important topic.

We added references from the literature on trauma-informed schools. We added small information because of the page limit.
