1 | Although “sense of community” is commonly used in psychology and overlaps with community attachment and satisfaction, we opted to include “quality of life” because of its extensive use in sociology and its broader conceptual scope. While sense of community emphasizes interpersonal and identity-related elements, e.g., [5,6], QoL encompasses both subjective and objective indicators of well-being, including—but not limited to—emotional connection to place. Its frequent conflation with community satisfaction and attachment in sociological research also warrants dedicated attention. |
