Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This paper provides a detailed analysis of 20 physicochemical properties and volcanic ash reactivity of LS extracted by different lithium extraction techniques. And explored various activation techniques. The expression content is comprehensive and has good value. Suggestions are as follows:

1. The author can try to express different activation techniques in more detail with corresponding diagrams, so that readers can have a clearer understanding.

2. The author may consider further summarizing and improving different activation techniques.

3. The author may consider introducing relevant literature in the introduction to make the content more comprehensive. Some reference materials are as follows:

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The review paper comprehensively covers Research progress on the activity stimulation of lithium slag in concrete needs a revision

Reviewer Comment for Author:

1.    The following comments should be considered

2.    The author did not mentation what are the main challenges in the large-scale application of lithium slag as a cementitious material in concrete?

3.    The author did not mentation how can the efficiency of lithium slag depending on its chemical and physical properties and effect enhancing the long-term strength of concrete?

4.    The author did not mentation, which is more effective in enhancing the activity of lithium slag in concrete: mechanical grinding or thermal activation

5.    The author did not mentation, how can chemical activation methods (such as the use of alkalis or organic compounds) be combined with physical methods to further increase the reactivity of lithium slag in concrete?

6.    The author did not mentation, how might the incorporation of additional materials, such as fly ash or synthetic fibers, with lithium slag affect the final properties of the concrete?

7.    The author did not mentation, Are there other methods that could be explored to accelerate the reactivity of lithium slag and make it more effective in enhancing the long-term strength of concrete

8.    The author did not mentation that do you believe the economic feasibility of using lithium slag in concrete hinges on improvements in activation techniques, or is the bigger challenge improving the logistics of collecting and transporting lithium slag efficiently?

9.    The author did not mentation, what are the main economic obstacles to the widespread adoption of lithium slag in terms of costs and necessary infrastructure?

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

General comments to the authors:

The review paper titled “Research progress on the activity stimulation of lithium slag in concrete” tried to provide a strategy to enhance the efficient utilization of LS in the field of concrete. The manuscript demonstrates a thorough and well-conducted literature review. The reviewer has the following questions/remarks:

1-    It is recommended to show some significant result findings in “numbers or percentages” in the abstract to attract readers.

2-    Please enlarge the images of the material in Figure 1 to better observe the chemical compositions.

3-    In section 3, “Evaluation of the activity of LS in concrete”. There are many studies have investigated the activities of LS in concrete. You may elaborate more in this section.

4-    In SEM images in Figure 5a, what do the sticks (links) represent? you may mention that in the text.

5-    Add more details at the end of the introduction section to clarify the novelty and feasibility of this research.

6-    In the conclusion section, you may shorten the list you provided as possible and focus on the main results findings.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

In its current form, the Review is extremely superficial. Some sections are uninformative due to the limited number of sources and lack of good analytics. The absence of key results of the analyzed studies (concrete compositions, characteristics of raw materials, etc.) makes it difficult to assess the reliability of the presented results. The review manuscript requires significant revision.
