Review comments

Given the problems in the past research on the construction of ecological security patterns, due to the lack of consideration of urban development positioning, especially agricultural factors, resulting in the incomplete identification of key conservation areas, this paper carried out relevant research on Liaocheng City(LC), a typical main agricultural production area as the study area, including "quality-importance-connectivity-balance" framework was created to identify ESPs, ecological resistance surface construction and the extraction of the ecological corridor and the key conservation areas, and based on the above three factors, the comprehensive quality and spatial agglomeration evaluation of cultivated land were carried out, and the optimization model of "six cores-seven belts-three zones" was established. Based on the research content of the article, the following questions are asked:

1. Table 5 and Table 6 have the problem of inconsistency between the header size and other header sizes, self-check the format; Figure 5 The font is not clear enough and the contrast is small, so it is recommended to replace the clearer image.

2. The ecological security level division of the ecological resistance surface in section 2.3.2.2 is inconsistent with the division shown in Figure 4.

3. The basis for dividing the numerical range of corresponding resistance factors for different resistance classifications in Table 7 is not clear enough.

In summary, the overall research content of the article is consistent with the objectives of the journal, the content is innovative, and it is recommended to adopt it after the error correction in the article.

Reviewer 2 Report

The manuscript Research on optimization of ecological security patterns based on natural and cultivated land disturbance by Ma et al. presents a novel approach for measuring ecological security patterns, which is of high importance for ecological conservation and regional development planning in agroecologically complex regions. The analysis is robust and the argument is convincing.

A few format issues for the authors to consider:

(1) The authors should follow a systematic and coherent citation style. E.g. whether using abbreviations for journal names. Line 573: Environ Monit Assess should be presented in full as Environmental Monitoring and Assessment. Line 583: Landscape Ecol should be presented in full as Landscape Ecology. The authors need to do a thorough check.

(2) There should be a space before any word and brackets. E.g. Table 1: NDVI(MODIS) should be NDVI (MODIS). etc. Table 2: Maximum impact distance(km) should be Maximum impact distance (km).

Reviewer 3 Report

Very few corrections are to be made in sentence structures and rewording. Hence, suggested to check and improve the English. Better to write in the past tense. The paper is comprehensively written in terms of its originality and novelty. Congratulations!
